Herman William Bouler: 1943-2024

Taking an early retirement from PG&E, Herman pursued his longstanding dream of becoming a pilot, ultimately becoming a flight instructor. Later, he returned to PG&E as a gas service representative, a role that allowed his joy of helping those in need to flourish.

Antonio Allen Avelar: 1972-2024

Antonio's hobbies included gardening, bowling and hunting, but his greatest passion was catching perch fish in the ocean waves. He loved the feel of the salty sea air on his face and the ocean waves lapping at his feet.

Glenda Miller: 1930-2024

Mom attended Coffee Creek Elementary School, moved on to eighth grade at Ferndale Elementary and graduated from Ferndale High School in 1948. She met her husband, Jerry Miller, at a Grange Dance.

Beverly "Kay" Barnard Enos: 1946-2024

She worked locally at the Angelina Inn and Ferndale Clothing Co. before settling in as caretaker at the Lost Coast Ranch, where her oceanside cottage and vast elaborate garden, which she started from scratch, became her own piece of paradise. She found peace in her sobriety and was devoted in her faith.

Michael Joseph Allison: 1948-2024

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Susan; two sons from a previous marriage: Lee Allison (Wendy) of San Diego, William Allison (Natalie) of Long Beach. From a later marriage, he is survived by two sons Matthew Allison (Svitlana) of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Christopher Allison of Salt Lake City; and daughter Jennifer Villasenor (Joe) of Salt Lake City and step daughter Nicole (Marco) Leon of Dana Point.

Michele (Feldman) Baughman: 1937-2024

The Humboldt Open Door Clinic first opened in 1971, in what is now The Tin Can Mailman Bookstore, on the corner of 10th and H streets in Arcata. Michele thought it was a Veterinary clinic and brought her cat in for a check-up.

Dr. Edward Buzz Webb: 1937-2024

Leadership seems to have come early in life. In sixth grade he was elected president of La Jolla elementary School and was especially proud to have risen to Captain of the Patrol Boys that controlled traffic for students.

Erin Jarvis-Nessier: 1960-2024

Up until being diagnosed with inoperable terminal cancer, Erin energetically swam several miles per day in an open water facility for her own enjoyment. She also rode her beautiful horse Rio, always trailed by her loving doggies Manley and Zipper.

Gloria DeZordo: 1926-2024

In 1968, they built their house on Rose Avenue and settled into life in Ferndale. Because of all the years of visiting and the friends they had made, they felt like they were home.

Selva Pfingston: 1933-2024

At age 21, Seba joined the Foreign Service of the United States Department of State and completed a two-year tour of duty, beginning in Damascus, Syria, and transferring to Istanbul, Turkey, during the Suez Crisis. Seba married John Elliott Pfingston on AUG. 24, 1957, and they raised three daughters, Cecile Seba, Yvonne Marie, and Amy Annette, in Jefferson County, Colorado, and Sunnyvale, California.
