Food for People and Cooperation Humboldt will hold an emergency drive-through food distribution this afternoon to help those suffering from food insecurity during the COVID-19 crisis. The distribution will happen from 2 to 4 p.m. today.

Humboldt Bay Fire is announcing that several of its personnel who were exposed to an asymptomatic COVID-19 patient at a local hospital have been released from a 14-day quarantine after testing negative for the virus and will return to work next week. "We are grateful for this positive outcome but this incident underlines the importance of abiding by the guidance of the County Health Officer and working together as a community to flatten the curve of this virus," the press release states.
