Ferndale's more than 130-year tradition of honoring veterans on Memorial Day won't be broken by COVID-19 but the Victorian Village is changing its usual plans to keep spectators and veterans safe. Instead of crowds lining up on the sidewalks, people are invited to park along the route through town and watch the flag pass from their cars.
