Symphonious Holiday Cheer

A second concert will be held at Fulkerson Recital Hall later in the evening, at 8 p.m.  The Humboldt State University Singers will present all seven movements of Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols and two movements from Randall Thompson’s The Testament of Freedom. In addition, the community choir Humboldt Chorale will perform Imant Raminsh's Magnficat , under the direction of Carol Ryder.

After two albums with Traffic, Mason struck out on a solo career, recording the rock classic Alone Together and going platinum with 1977's Let It Flow — you may know the hit single "We Just Disagree."

Tonight offers a show sure to please fans of good music and excellent entertainment when Mike Dillon brings his high-octane performance and unorthodox percussion rig to the Jambalaya. After emerging in the late 1980s as the first vibraphonist and vocalist to lead a rock/funk band, Dillon went on to work with artists as diverse as Les Claypool, Ani DiFranco, Polyphonic Spree, Brave Combo, Sex Mob, Galactic, Secret Chief's 3, Karl Denson, Steven Bernstein, Charlie Hunter, James Singleton, George Porter Jr., Johnny Vidocavich and Bob Schneider.
